Curation
Exhibitions and cultural programmes for East Asian art and craft, from the first concept to opening night and the story told around it.
What we do
Who it is for
Artists preparing a solo or group exhibition abroad. Craft studios and heritage makers presenting their work to new audiences. Galleries, museums and cultural centres developing East Asian programmes. Brands creating cultural exhibitions and spaces.
A project can be a single exhibition or an ongoing programme, in person or online, wherever your audience is.
-
The idea that holds the show together, the selection of works and makers, and how they speak to one another and to the audience.
-
Curatorial statements, wall texts, catalogues and artist profiles, written for audiences who may be meeting the culture for the first time.
-
Venue and partner sourcing, budgets, installation and logistics, and the press, social and audience outreach around the opening.
How to start
1. Tell us the brief. Write to info@easternnarrative.com or use the form. A few lines on what you want to do, where and when is enough.
2. A 30-minute call. We discuss goals, timing and budget, and tell you plainly whether we are the right fit.
3. A proposal within a week. Scope, timeline and fee in writing. Most exhibitions take from a few months to a season to prepare.
